We wanted to create the look and feel of the planet without being too literal. Did you know that it rains diamonds on Neptune? We didn’t; but wanted to allude to this phenomena as well as the icy terrain and climate with an abstract pattern whose swirling shape wraps around the edge of the chocolate box. Stamping the pattern in a metallic foil gives the packaging another dimension and effect and further emphasizes its reflective inspiration.

The logo’s custom letterforms connote movement and informality without being too literal with the brand name. We wanted a little surprise so we created the tagline, “Countdown to liftoff,” in the interior opening flap of the chocolate bar with the ice crystal/diamond pattern continuing throughout the interior of the box.
